Since launching Illustrated Solutions, we've attended a variety of alternative markets, steampunk events, exhibitions and community gatherings across Yorkshire.

These events allow us to meet customers face-to-face, test new ideas, showcase products and support local organisations. Here's a look at some of the places we've visited and what we learned along the way.

  • Industrial Museum Bradford

Our first dedicated Steampunk event, where we showcased a selection of newly created Steampunk and Gothic products.

The positive response confirmed there was strong interest in these themes and directly influenced the development of our Steampunk and Gothic collections, which are available in our online shop.

  • Middleton Railway Leeds

Our second Steampunk event, where we showcased a selection of Steampunk and Gothic products.

The Pink Steampunk Owl and Raven Skull were firm favourites from our Steampunk Creatures and Gothic collections, available in our online shop.

  • Grenoside Shefield

A wellbeing-focused event where we trialled several new products from our online collection. It was a great opportunity to speak directly with visitors and gather feedback. It helped influence the development of the Spiritual and Mystical Gifts within our online shop. We even came away with a raffle prize.

  • National Mining Museum

Our early events allowed us to test our product ranges and gather valuable feedback from families. This directly highlighted the potential for expanding our 3D-printed collections, paving the way for our intricate 3D Gothic objects and creatures today!

  • Priory Campus

This event in Barnsley gave us the chance to test a wider product range and speak directly with visitors. The feedback helped shape future additions to several of our collections, including Spiritual and Mystical Gifts within our online shop.

  • Chapeltown Market

One of our first opportunities to showcase 3D printed products alongside our printed gifts. The dinosaur range proved especially popular and highlighted the potential for expanding our 3D collection.

  • (1) Yorkshire Ambulance Service

Invited to support Mental Health Awareness Week at Yorkshire Ambulance Service. The event allowed us to discuss wellbeing-themed products with staff and gain valuable feedback on our mental health and positivity ranges.

  • (2) Yorkshire Ambulance Service

The second of two Yorkshire Ambulance Service events during Mental Health Awareness Week.

These events reinforced the importance of creating products that encourage positive conversations around wellbeing and mental health while allowing us to engage directly with frontline staff.

What we've learnt

Attending events has helped us understand what customers are looking for, identify popular product ranges and develop new ideas.

It has also reinforced something we've always believed – people value quality products, personal service and the opportunity to buy from a small independent business.

Many of the collections in our shop have been shaped by conversations, customer feedback and experiences gained while attending events across Yorkshire. Explore some of the collections featured throughout this page.
